The 13-th annual International Forum of goods and services for children BABY EXPO' 2009 will take place on April 7-11, 2009, at the International Exhibition Center (Kyiv, 15, Brovarsky avenue). For 13 years event has been organized by “ACCO International” exhibition company. The Forum is conducted with the support of the Ministry of Ukraine for Family, Youth and Sport.
BABY EXPO is the largest sectorial event in Ukraine in area of goods and services for children.
Nomenclature of BABY Expo covers all aspects of baby’s life, its development and upbringing. Thematically it combines three specialized fairs: Fair of toys and games “BABY Toys”, Fair of goods for healthy maternity and childhood ”BABY & Mother health”, Fair of children's fashion “BABY Fashion”.
All fairs are b2b events, and that is the essential difference from other similar fairs held in Ukraine.
The Forum has been expanding its size and attracting a growing number of participants every year. 2008 saw the participation of 316 companies from 13 countries, total exhibition area amounted to 10.500 sq.m., that is 23% more comparing with the last year. Exposition included more than 600 trademarks, among them the largest world’s brands of children goods.
BABY Toys fair reflects a great variety of the toys’ world. Here you can find everything – from classical rattles to present-day Playstation, a great choice of construction sets, assembly models, goods for children's creative work and gaming equipment. There is a wide range of soft, plastic, wooden toys, a vast number of light and music toys, ethnographic dolls, development and educational games.
Here visitors also can find interesting and colorful books, children’s stationery and goods for creative work for all tastes and ages, for school and home! Apart from the traditional toys there are modern toys – radio-control vehicles and robots. This year will see the introduction of new categories – “New year goods” and Models and Hobbies”.
From year to year more attention is drawn to ecological friendliness and safety of toys. All toys shown at BABY Toys fair must have Conformity and Hygienic Certificate
Within the BABY Toys exposition there will be the 6-th national competition “THE BEST TOY OF THE YEAR” with only Ukrainian manufactures’ participation. The aim of the competition is a distinguishing and popularization of the best samples of native manufacture, professional experience exchange, revival of the national traditions of the toy and doll making.
The category winners are decided according to the different criteria, considering the specification as well as originality and novelty of the toy.
The best samples, which are prize winners of the previous competitions, are already used in children’s institutions of Ukraine.
BABY & Mother health keeps the pace with the toys fair. Its motto is “Health, Care, Love”. The exposition includes a wide variety of accessories and small articles, designed to provide child with necessary comfort with minimal parents’ efforts: automatic cradles, ergonomic carriages and road accessories, cosy cribs, prams, furniture, accessories for children’s nutrition, children’s cosmetics and medicines, linen, broad range of baby food. There are also products for nursing and pregnant mothers: from special linen to outgoing dresses – everything that helps woman to be beauty, self-confident, able to lead an active life in this period.
Unique BABY Fashion fair is the only Ukraine’s specialized fair of children’s clothing. Exposition includes all-season clothing for children of all ages. One can see a wide range of school uniform from domestic and foreign manufacturers. In addition to clothing there are also children’s shoes and headwear display. From 2009 the exposition will see a new category “Textile and Accessories. Traditionally, during the fair there are demonstrations of factory and designer clothing collections – Fashion Show
The business programme organized with the assistance of Kiev City Administration Family and Youth Department will include a number of seminars for pre-school institution and junior school teachers. Within the seminars there will be consultations of psychologists on educational and development toys and games.
Annually, more than 20.000 visitors attend Baby Expo Forum, among them representatives of almost all large stores, children specialized shops, bulk purchasers, representatives of children’s’ institutions as well as dealers and distributors from all regions of Ukraine, CIS and foreign countries.
Forum accurately reflects current consumer's trends: more often while purchasing goods for children, consumers give preference to specialized shops, paying more attention to the quality and safety of the product. All products displayed at BABY Expo fully meet high standards and consumers’ preferences.
